Abstract
The purpose of this work is to appreciate different aromatic and medicinal plants from Morocco belonging to four different families, by chemical characterization and evaluation of their antioxidant activity.
The reducing efficiency of DPPH radical decreased in the following order: the essential oil of Eugenia caryophyllus, Thymus saturieoides, the oil of the Ricinus communis, the essential oil of Artemisia herba-alba, and Myrtus communis.
Keywords: Essential oil, antioxidant activity, IC50, antiradicular efficiency
